On the last week of each month, students will be evaluated on attendance and curriculum. If the student has successfully completed rank and attendance requirements for the month, they will receive a stripe on their belt.
Students will be eligible for promotion once they receive 3 stripes on their belt. Students who attend school (K-12) will be required to submit an “Intent to Promote” form signed by their parent and teacher prior to their promotion.
In Shorin-Ryu Karate, we use the following 10 Rank Belt System. All Students start at White Belt and
progress through the Kyu Ranks until they reach Black Belt. Once achieving the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt, their rank will count back up from 1, with 10 being the highest degree of black belt that one can achieve.
